    23 openEHRにおけるパスは、XPath[[FootNote(W3C Xpath 1.0 specification, 1999参照（http://www.w3.org/TR/xpath にて利用可能))]]互換の文法で定義され、これはアーキタイプ定義言語(Archetype Definition Language, ADL)に記載されたパス文法のスーパーセットとなっている。この文法はXPath表現に容易にマッピングできるよう設計されており、openEHRベースのXMLとともに使用できる。
